Thanks for the heads-up with that lecture. Very captivating and thought-provoking. I feel smarter already (not too difficult to do).

haha! Suzanne, this is so clever and entertaining. Loved the story and your lines are perfect for the images, especially the panda one. Would you consider assigning similar work to your students? Seems too labor-intensive, no?

I know what you mean about being fried. I spent an hour getting photos of rainbows and cutting and pasting the attributions. Don't know if I'd be willing to use Creative Commons for a slideshow again.

I spent several more hours trying to find Creative Commons music for the slideshow.

Hi, Suzanne!
Thanks for shakin' things up with your positive comments and insightful posts! You're an awesome collaborator.
I had to give you a shout-out here: you are the epitome of the smart, generous people in our profession. I so admire your willingness to share your resources (I love and use your block calendar template!), your creativity, your time, your wisdom, and the list goes on. Thank you.
I think someone mentioned that you had a stint at an international school in Japan? Could you tell me more?
Aloha, Yuki
p.s. The title of your blog made me laugh and laugh :)

Hi Suzanne! Your comment on my entry encouraged me more than you know -- but how would you know if I hadn't told you? Thank goodness for blog comments, right? :)

I clicked on your word of the day link (today's is German!) and also the book title suggestion link -- I may share this with a student of mine (rising 8th) who decided (or agreed with his mom) to spend the summer on the North Shore with a grandparent and read a self-made list of books instead of taking summer school -- now that's the spirit of lifelong learning, right?

ps -- You have more than earned the silver in your hair, and the "Rock" that you live on -- if you meant it also as a pun -- is a place I feel lucky to visit. :)

You have inspired me to be a Web 2.0 lifelong learner, Suzanne. You are not afraid to stumble, are excited about the possibilities, and are willing to share in the journey with your colleagues. I hope we will continue to work collaboratively and together as a team successfully reach Thing 23! GO RAIDERS. Kathy
